chair from a stair
To create a chair out of a stair tread was my way of recreating the New York City experience of using stoops and stairwells as places to rest and pass time. Areas created for flow and movement are repurposed for something more relaxing, just like this chair.
The chair's body is an oak stair tread, and the seat and the back are a mixture of wood remnants from other projects. No screws or nails were used in the production of this piece.
